Thought for the day....January 3, 1939...
was a very special day in history for my family. A young man and a young woman were joined in marriage. They went on to spend many wonderful years together as husband and wife. Within the time that God had blessed them, He also blessed them with 7 children. This marriage was put through tests, but it persevered because they kept the focus on our Heavenly Father.
I sat and listened to my Mamaw Mollie tell many stories of the love that she and Papaw Frank shared. It was also a blessing that I saw first hand for many years.
On October 3, 1987, Papaw left this earthly world, but because of the love that he and Mamaw had shared, she held strong. For 20 years more, she sat and spoke of him as if it were still January 3, 1939.
Now today, I see how frustrated and unravelled I can become with my own husband and I really do not like how I feel. So, I now turn where I should always remain....faithful and steadfast in God and His Word.
I remind myself that God has blessed me with a wonderful love....even if he doesn't always take out the garbage :)...and it is my responsibility and service to God in return to love him.
"Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Genesis 2:24
Many blessings to you and yours today...it is a special day! Misty

Thought for the day...take the time...
...to listen to your children...to laugh with them...to hold them...to show them how much you love them.
This is another "resolution of sorts"! I have always said, "If you are looking to find my home and/or my kids clean, I suggest you come by when they are in bed. Any other time, we are havin' fun and makin' memories." Sadly, I have not made as much time to actually do this as I would like. So, starting today, I am going to make it a point! In all honesty, what is it going to hurt for those dishes to sit in the sink for a little longer? And the clothes to be folded....they will be there!
I was watching Mollie just the other day...she is growing up sooooo fast! I realized that it had been quite some time since I just sat with her....individually...and talked! So, I took the moment and enjoyed EVERY SINGLE MINUTE! It was then that I realized how MUCH she has grown.... emotionally, physically and intellectually!
Afterall, God has given me these precious lives to enjoy, lead, guide and direct! I owe this to each of them, but most importantly, I owe it to Him!
So, go ahead, hug them and just listen to them!
Blessings to all....Misty

Thought for the day...Beginnings
Every story has a beginning, a genesis. The beginning of God's story of His interactions with humanity is found with the very first words of the Bible. In the beginning God created. From the start, He was at work. However, in the freshness of a new world where Adam and Eve walked and talked with God, sin slithered in, marring creation forever. But the God who hung every star in place and laid every grain of sand upon the shore had, from the beginning, a plan.
Indeed, God does have a plan for each of us. He is with us each and every moment...every step of the way. It is my prayer that we each talk with Him, but most importantly that we walk with Him and do what is pleasing to Him. May He bless you and yours from this new beginning in our lives until the day His Son returns and always. In Christ, Misty.

Happy New Year!!!
OK, let me start by wishing everyone a very Happy and Blessed New Year! It is going to be a "resolution of sorts" for me to blog more often ;) I know, I am absolutely crazy to think that I can actually stick to it, but hey a challenge is a challenge...make it a little more interesting for me...lol!
Anywho, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank God for a wonderful 2008! He blessed me in sooooo many ways....He is sooooo awesome! As I type, my mind (and heart) is racing at the mere thought of these such things...the birth of another precious child (another cutie pie too....even if he does look EXACTLY like his siblings and his dad), my health, my family, many, many friends, the start of my "career"...you know, the one where I get to play with paper, scissors and glue :)... and so much more!
I also, want to stop each and everyday to post a thought, quote and/or verse as a source of inspiration....so please stop by and take a moment for YOUrself!
Again, Happy New Year...may it be full of joy, hope, health and love!
